The cabin features sport bucket seats upholstered in Charcoal Black leather with perforated Crimson Red inserts, and matching upholstery accents the door panels. Embossed Cobra logos adorn the front backrests, and additional appointments include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, air conditioning, GT500 door sill plates, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo. The optional GT500 Premium Interior Trim Package added a stitched dashboard, auto-dimming mirrors, and aluminum pedals.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 6k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.
The supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a K&N air intake.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Burd Ford in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total MSRP of $48,590. A Ford SVT Certificate of Authenticity and manufacturer’s literature are included in the sale.
