The 997 GTS featured a revised front apron with larger air intakes, wider bodywork shared with the contemporary Carrera 4S, and a black front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser. This example is finished in Platinum Silver Metallic (1H) and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights with dynamic cornering, clear side marker and taillights lenses, a power sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. Noted flaws include rock chips on the front end, scrapes on the lower front spoiler, nicks in the front windshield, and scratches in the upper-left rear window.
Black 19” RS Spyder wheels wear 235/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Sport Pilot 4S tires that were installed in 2021, at which time the wheel center locks were serviced. Braking is handled by red Porsche-branded four-piston calipers over 13″ cross-drilled and vented rotors. The car is equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and was optioned with Porsche Active Suspension Management Sport suspension, which lowered the ride height by 20mm when compared with the standard Carrera. A brake fluid flush was performed in August 2022.
The cabin features heated adaptive sport seats trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts as well as a matching leather-covered dashboard, door panels, and center console. Alcantara covers the handbrake lever and door pulls, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, illuminated stainless-steel door sill guards, cruise control, PCM 3.0 with Extended Navigation, satellite radio, and Bose Surround Sound. Sticky stereo knobs were replaced in 2020 and the driver-side door sill guard was reportedly replaced in 2022.
The Alcantara-wrapped SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters was installed under current ownership and frames a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus added a dash-mounted chronograph and adjustable settings for throttle response and suspension firmness. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.8-liter flat-six was factory rated at 408 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque in the GTS, an increase of 23 horsepower over the contemporary Carrera S. The spark plugs, engine oil, and filters were replaced in August 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Porsche of Stevens Creek of Santa Clara, California, along with factory colors, options, and a total price of $122,405.
