The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,250-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, boost pressure, oil pressure, and fuel level. AutoMeter Ultra-Lite gauges for boost, oil, and fuel pressures are mounted to the A-pillar. The digital odometer indicates 225 miles.
A plaque mounted ahead of the shifter displays a Carroll Shelby signature and a serial number of 12SM0008.
The hand-assembled 5.4-liter V8 was fitted with the following components as part of the Shelby 1000 S/C package:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a Shelby-specification limited-slip differential with a fluid cooler. Additional equipment fitted as part of the Shelby 1000 S/C package included a fabricated aluminum driveshaft with a safety loop along with a billet transmission support and a twin-disc clutch.
