The 32-valve 6.2-liter AMG V8 was hand-built with lightweight forged pistons and connecting rods, a revised crankshaft, and revised engine management for a factory-rated 30-horsepower increase to 481 horsepower as part of the P31 AMG Development Package. A plaque denoting the name of the specialist who built it is affixed to the stylized engine cladding. An oil change was performed and a replacement air filter was fitted in October 2021, and the upper oil pan was reportedly replaced in February 2022.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
