The Spyder features a manually-folding black soft top that stows beneath the double-hump rear clamshell, while front and rear styling is shared with the contemporary Cayman GT4. This example is finished in Racing Yellow and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, a rearview camera, and central dual exhaust outlets.
Satin Black-finished 20″ Carrera S alloy wheels are mounted with 235/35 front and 265/35 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs with red-painted Porsche-branded calipers. Boxster Spyders were equipped from the factory with a 20mm lower sport suspension than the standard Boxster. An electromechanical steering rack that was shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo was also fitted as standard.
The cockpit features bucket seats upholstered in black leather with Alcantara inserts, Spyder-embroidered headrests, and yellow stitching, which extends to the center armrest, dash, and door panels. Yellow trim accents the center console, dash, and door panels, and additional appointments include aluminum pedal covers, a wind deflector, a CD stereo, a Bose sound system, Porsche-branded floor mats, Porsche Communication Management, navigation, air conditioning, and cruise control.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as a 190-mph speedometer and a digital display. The digital odometer indicates 3,800 miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The rear cargo area covers the mid-mounted 3.8L flat-six, which was shared with the contemporary 991 Carrera S and was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. The car is equipped with an extended-range 16.9-gallon fuel tank.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
