The 18” alloy wheels are secured by three-eared knock-off spinners retained by safety wire and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires that were installed in 2019 and measure 245/40 up front and 285/40 out back. A full-size spare is found in the rear storage area, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The car rides on custom Wilbers three-way adjustable coilovers with remote oil reservoirs.
The cabin features two black leather-upholstered bucket seats as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning as well as a roll bar, fire extinguisher, glovebox, and toggle switches for vehicle functions.
A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Stewart Warner instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. A suite of auxiliary instrumentation is found in the center of the dash and includes displays for oil pressure, oil temperature, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows just over 3k miles.
The 402ci Roush V8 was factory-rated at 500 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. Features include MSD ignition along with a hydraulic clutch, a FAST XFI Sportsman EFI system, and Jet-Hot ceramic-coated headers. The results of a 2005 dyno run can be seen in the gallery, along with an area of delamination on the carbon fiber air box. The spark plugs, filters, and fluids were replaced along with the fuel system and exhaust modifications in 2019, and receipts from the work are also provided below.
