The car was ordered in Royal Maroon, and following the seller’s acquisition it was disassembled, mounted on a rotisserie, and repainted. Features include a blacked-out shaker hood with a scoop and hood pins as well as reflective two-tone accent stripes, chrome bumpers, and dual paired exhaust outlets.
This is a re-list after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in September 2022 and the winning bidder was unable to follow through with their commitment to purchase due to circumstances outside of their control. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s buyer’s fee was refunded.
Styled 14″ steel wheels are mounted with F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires. Mach 1 models were equipped from the factory with Handling Suspension, and braking is managed by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The interior features high-back front bucket seats trimmed in white vinyl together with matching rear seats and door panels. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, center console, and doors, and additional details include hand-crank side windows, an analog clock, a heater and defroster, and a push-button radio.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 98k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 428ci Cobra Jet V8 was factory equipped with a shaker hood scoop atop a four-barrel carburetor, and peak output was rated at 335 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was rebuilt during the refurbishment and the oil was changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a C6 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.50:1 Traction-Lok rear end. The car is also equipped with a dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe.
