Chrome 15” center-spline wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-offs and wear Avon tires. A matching spare combination is stored in the rear compartment, and braking is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with the rear units situated inboard.
Interior finishes include replacement blue leather upholstery on the seats accompanied by matching treatments for the center console and door panels and chrome hardware re-chromed by the seller. A Blaupunkt push-button radio is linked to speakers on either side of the center stack, and additional equipment includes a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a cabin heater, and manually operated windows.
Smiths instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles.
The rebuilt twin-cam 4.2L inline-six features a trio of SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A general inspection, tuning of the carburetors, and overhaul of the fuel and cooling systems were completed in preparation for the sale.
Cylinder-head stamping 7E1869-9 matches the engine block stamp shown in the gallery as well as the engine number noted on the chassis identification plate and on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. A photo of the chassis number stamp is provided in the gallery.
