Centrally-mounted Smiths instrumentation consists of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer displays 419 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter XK inline-six features dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 190 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Engine block stamping V 4634-8 shown above matches the number listed on the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. The cylinder head was replaced some time ago, and its serial number is viewable in the gallery.
