Chrome 15″ wheels wear Porsche-crest hubcaps and 205/50 Dunlop Direzza ZIII tires. Koni Classic shocks have been added, and braking is handled by 356C four-wheel discs. A brake fluid flush was recently carried out.
The interior features fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in black along with a matching-color dash pad and door panels. Coco Mats lines the footwells, and square-weave carpeting covers the kick panels, sills, seat backs, center tunnel, and rear-cabin cargo area.
A three-spoke VDM steering wheel frames green-letter VDO instrumentation, including a 6k-rpm tachometer and 120-mph speedometer. The latter contains a five-digit odometer that shows under 18k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter flat-four is from a Porsche 912 and was installed in 2008 by German Master Tech of Bend, Oregon. Equipment includes a 200mm flywheel and clutch as well as a Bursch exhaust system. Service in preparation for the sale included an oil change and performing a compression test.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement four-speed manual transaxle that is said to be a period unit stamped to indicate Speedster gears. A Bursch stainless exhaust system has also been added, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
A copy of the Kardex lists a delivery to Ms. Frances Hefner in Augsburg, Germany and notes an original color of Ruby Red. An owner’s manual is also included in the sale.
