15″ ventilated steel wheels are finished in silver and wear chrome hubcaps with colored Porsche crests as well as 165-series Michelin XZX tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel hydraulic drums, and the convertible top is pictured in both its raised and lowered positions in the gallery.
The interior was re-trimmed during the refurbishment completed in 2013 and features bucket seats upholstered in red leather, matching door panels, beige square-weave carpets, and a red dash pad. Equipment includes black lap belts, a black floor mat, a Blaupunkt radio with two loudspeakers, and a removable accessory hand lamp. An optional under-dash anti-theft device remains fitted, and a VDO clock was added to the dash during current ownership. The seller has provided a videos of the radio in operation as well as the horn.
The ivory steering wheel frames VDO green-letter instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 1,600 miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter Super flat-four is equipped with dual Zenith downdraft carburetors and was factory rated at 74 horsepower. The oil was changed in 2020.
The engine number reads *84222* and matches the number noted on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory options and identification numbers as well as a production completion date of June 19, 1959. A copy of the Kardex is included in the gallery.
