Steel 15″ wheels are mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were fitted in July 2022. Service under current ownership has included includes rebuilding the front and rear brake calipers and replacing the brake lines, wheel studs, shocks, and axle boots.
The cockpit features a low-back bolstered racing seat for the driver and a low-back passenger seat, both of which are trimmed in black and equipped with Deist Safety lap belts. The door panels and carpets have been removed, and a roll bar is installed. Service following the owner’s acquisition included fabricating door release latches and removing the previously installed fire-suppression system.
The three-spoke Racemark steering wheel features a Porsche crest and sits ahead of a centrally mounted Stewart Warner 10k-rpm tachometer flanked by a 120-mph VDO speedometer and readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. Auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and oil temperature are mounted to the right of the steering wheel. The speedometer cable was replaced under current ownership. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 1.6-liter flat-four was removed for service in 2022, cleaned, and refinished in black. Work performed at that time rebuilding the carburetors, adjusting the valves, relocating the oil coolers and lines, and replacing the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, valve cover gaskets, engine mounts, crankshaft pulley, fuel tank, and fuel lines. An invoice from Makellos Classics in Escondido, California, details work performed in 2022 with a total price of $69,380.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 741/2A four-speed manual transaxle. The transmission mounts and exhaust system were replaced in March 2022.
