Silver 15″ wheels from Alloy Replicas feature polished lips and are mounted with 195/65 Goodyear Eagle Sport tires, while a matching spare wheel is stored in the front trunk compartment. The car features a front sway bar and aftermarket shocks at each corner. The four-wheel drum brake system was refreshed under current ownership with a replacement master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake lines.
The interior was re-trimmed by K&H European Auto Upholstery of Garden Grove, California, and features Speedster-style seats upholstered in tan leather accompanied by a charcoal headliner, door panels, and squareweave carpets. Dynamat sound-deadening material lines the cabin, and a four-point roll bar has been installed. A fire extinguisher is mounted between the seats, and additional appointments include latch-and-link lap belts, leather window pulls, Porsche crests embroidered on the seat backs, drilled pedals, and a Custom Autosound stereo stored in the lockable glovebox.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel fronts a body-color dashboard that houses replacement VDO green-letter instrumentation consisting of an 8k-rpm central tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, a quartz clock, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 4,800 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement flat-four is said to have been modified with a 1,720cc big bore kit as part of the build by Markham Motor Works of Somis, California. Twin Solex carburetors are equipped, and a full-flow oil filter is said to be fitted. The electrical system was converted to 12 volts, and the wiring harness and fuse box have been replaced. A valve adjustment and an oil change were performed approximately 1k miles ago, per the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 741 four-speed manual transaxle that was overhauled with a taller-ratio fourth gear. A Precision Matters aluminum sump plate has been installed.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows a production completion date of November 8, 1960, and lists factory colors, optional equipment, and powertrain numbers.
