The fiberglass body was stripped and the hood was replaced before the car was refinished in its factory shade of Honduras Maroon in 2015. Exterior features include a replacement Al Knoch Stayfast tan canvas top, quad headlights, color-matched coves, dual mirrors, rocker-panel accents, chrome bumperettes, and LED taillamps and parking lamps. The windshield was replaced in August 2009, the convertible top was replaced in early 2022, and the wiper system was rebuilt. There are chips in the paint and on the front bumper and grilles, and the washer fluid sprayers do not work.
Steel 15″ wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw whitewall tires. The car was fitted with a rebuilt steering box and replacement kingpins, A-arms, shock absorbers, and springs under current ownership. Braking is handled by a dual master cylinder and front discs and rear drums.
The bucket seats were reupholstered in Al Knoch-sourced black leather, the car was re-wired, and interior components were replaced under current ownership. A grab handle is fitted for the passenger, and additional interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, Vintage Air climate control, an analog clock, an aftermarket digital stereo, Hurst shifter linkage, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The speedometer was rebuilt in 2016. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles which is said to represent mileage since the replacement engine was installed. True chassis mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci GM ZZ4 V8 was factory-rated at 355 horsepower and sourced from JEGS Performance and installed in 2012. Features include a four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, and a polished alternator, air cleaner assembly, and ignition system cover. An auxiliary cooling fan has been fitted, and the cooling system is said to have been filled with Evans waterless coolant. The water pump, radiator, and fuel tank were reportedly replaced under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle with 3.36:1 gears. The transmission and rear axle were rebuilt under current ownership and the clutch is said to have been replaced.
