The Elite was designed by Peter Kirwan-Taylor along with aerodynamicist Frank Costin, and the fiberglass bodywork of Series I cars was produced by UK boat-building firm, Maximar. This example was repainted in red during current ownership in mid-2018, and is equipped with polished bumpers and trim, a driver’s side-view mirror, and dual exhaust outlets. Cracks on the inner body near the door hinges were repaired during current ownership.

This example was repainted in red during current ownership in mid-2018, and is equipped with polished bumpers and trim, a driver’s side-view mirror, and dual exhaust outlets. Silver 14” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with 165-width Dunlop tires. A spare wheel is found in the interior, though it is fitted with a label stating that it has loose spokes. Braking is via four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. Paint chips and wear are evident on the wheels.
The right-hand-drive cabin houses seats that have been reupholstered in tan leather with color-coordinated door panels and beige square-weave carpets. Appointments include a center console, map pockets in both doors, and lap belts for both occupants.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a mix of Smiths and Lucas instruments including an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer was reset in 2006 and indicates approximately 1k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.2-liter Coventry Climax inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was rebuilt in 2003. The water pump was rebuilt in 2006, and an oil change was carried out in April 2023.
