Ventilated 15×5.5″ chrome wheels feature Porsche crest hubcaps and are mounted with 185/65 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, while a spare is stored in the front trunk. The car is equipped with Koni shocks and a 356 Enterprises camber regulator. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin houses front bucket seats that are upholstered in black leather and equipped with headrests as well as lap belts. Coco mats cover the footwells, and additional appointments include a European-style heater system, a clock, a wooden shift knob, a black dashpad, and a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio.
The Les Leston wood-rimmed steering wheel features a Porsche crest horn button and frames green-letter VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge. The speedometer is said to have been rebuilt in April 2008, and the five-digit odometer indicates 7k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The Type 616/16 flat-four was overhauled and balanced with an increased displacement of 1,720cc by 356 Enterprises of North Branch, Michigan, in February 2010. An Elgin camshaft was reportedly installed, and additional work involved modifying Shasta Design 86mm pistons for a 10.4:1 compression ratio, fitting a full-flow oil filter system, rebuilding the fuel pump, and replacing the main bearings, gaskets, and oil cooler. The seller states that a 12-volt conversion has been performed, and Pertronix ignition components were installed under current ownership. The battery is said to have been replaced in June 2021, while an oil change was last performed in July 2022.
The engine-case stamping reads P☆820945☆, which matches the number listed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Transaxle stamping number 78351 is shown in the gallery along with other identifying markings.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
