Turbine-style 15″ wheels are fitted with three-eared knock-off nuts and BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. The car is equipped with an independent suspension and disc brakes at the corners.
The interior features seats and door panels trimmed in white vinyl with a contrasting blue dash pad, console, carpeting, and lap belts. The center stack houses a clock, ventilation controls, and a vertically mounted Delco AM/FM radio.
A three-spoke woodgrain steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery status, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 570 miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the selling dealer; true mileage is unknown.
The 327ci L84 V8 came equipped with Rochester Ramjet fuel injection, mechanical lifters, and a high-lift “30-30” camshaft and was rated at 375 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque when new. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Engine stamping 111601—better seen in another engine-pad photo provided in the gallery—matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s chassis number. The HG suffix corresponds with a 327ci/375hp fuel-injected V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end with a 3.55:1 final gear ratio. Additional views of the underbody are presented in the gallery.
