The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 2k of which were added during current ownership.
The numbers-matching 427ci L36 V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, a chrome air cleaner cover, and painted valve covers. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
The engine stamping shown includes the digits 127553, which match the vehicle’s serial number. Additionally, the IL suffix on the same pad stamping corresponds with the L36 427ci engine for manual-transmission applications.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
