The car underwent a body-off refurbishment circa 1998–2004, and the fiberglass exterior was repainted in the factory Nassau Blue (976). Exterior features include added side-exit exhaust pipes, split chrome bumpers, vertical vents behind the front wheels, 427 Turbo-Jet badging, and a hood cowl.
Turbine-style knock-off wheels with three-eared hubs are wrapped in Firestone Gold Line Tires. Wilwood disc brakes were installed during the refurbishment.

The seller notes that the radio sound is periodically muffled and that the clock keeps time but the second hand skips. The removed factory shifter is included in the sale.
An added wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays 25k miles, approximately 40 of which have been added by the selling dealer. According to the seller, about 4k miles have been added since completion of the refurbishment.
The 427ci L72 V8 was reportedly rebuilt in 2003 and is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and factory electronic ignition.
Engine-block stamping 6107683 matches the last six digits of the vehicle’s chassis number, while the suffix IP indicates an L72 427ci engine with a factory rating of 425 horsepower paired with a manual transmission. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 3.70:1 rear end with a Positraction limited-slip differential. More images of the underbody are presented in the gallery.
