The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats trimmed in blue leather with silver piping along with matching door panels and carpeting. Features include a dashboard-mounted rear-view mirror, a heater, and a replacement push-button AM/FM Classic Radio.
The banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of a Smiths 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, and a combination gauge for water temperature and oil pressure. The speedometer and combination gauge were rebuilt in 2018, and the fuel-level gauge was rebuilt in 2019. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 4k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2019 included installing new SU carburetors, replacing the oil over-flow bypass tank and engine fan, and re-coring the radiator. An oil and filter change was performed in August 2021.
The engine tag #29KRUH13262 matches the number listed on the BMIHT certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive sourced from Denis Welch Motorsport in England. A heavy-duty clutch kit and competition release bearing were also installed. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the photo gallery below.
