The 427ci L71 V8 features a transistor ignition system and three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 435 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The center carburetor was rebuilt and the alternator, voltage regulator, distributor, fuel pump, and solid-state ignition were replaced in 2022.
