The car was optioned new with a body-colored hardtop, and is also equipped with a dark brown convertible top that is shown raised in the gallery below. Chrome 14″ Borrani knock-off wire wheels were mounted with 195/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II tires in 2017. The sway bar links as well as the lower control arms and ball joints were replaced the same year. Braking is handled by power-assisted 11.5″ Kelsey-Hayes discs up front and drums out back. The power steering system was rebuilt in 2016.
Appointments include black bucket seats, replacement carpets, variable-speed windshield wipers, and an optional Arctic-Kar air conditioner as well as a rear body panel that can be removed in order to accommodate 2+2 seating. The interior features Chrysler-sourced door handles, window cranks, and heating controls as well as a Plymouth shifter and a center console with a wood inlay.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 150-mph speedometer, while gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage are arrayed to either side. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership.
The factory 273ci engine has been replaced by a 340ci Chrysler LA-series V8 with casting number 2780930-340. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. Service in August 2017 included installation of a Holley electric inline fuel pump as well as replacement of the carburetor jets and transmission pan gasket.
