This Sport Zagato features a steel body shell with aluminum doors, rear hatch, and side-hinged hood. The seller notes that the car is believed to have been repainted in sage green metallic under prior ownership and notes a crack in the front valance below the bumper and a crack in the driver-side front turn-signal lens. The seller reportedly rechromed some of the trim, polished the bumpers, and rebuilt the rear hatch motor, which is operated by a switch on the dashboard. Exterior features include a split rear bumper, a front-bumper-mounted driving lamp, a hood scoop that routes air into the cabin, and a Zagato Car Club badge affixed to the grille.
Campagnolo 14″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 175/65 Sumitomo HTR 200 tires, which are cracked and show 2008 date codes. The steering box was refreshed, the front brake calipers were rebuilt, and the brake master cylinder, leaf springs, ball joints, and front axle bearings were replaced under current ownership.
Dual bucket seats are upholstered in tan vinyl with matching door panels over black rubber flooring. Amenities include lap belts, a dash-mounted mirror, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a black dashboard with woodgrain trim and Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays 89k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added by the seller.
The 1.3L narrow-angle V4 sits ahead of the front axle and is equipped with dual side-draft Solex carburetors. The carburetors were removed and cleaned in January 2021, the muffler was replaced in February 2021, and additional work performed by the seller reportedly included refurbishing the radiator, zinc-plating bolts, and also replacing the starter, distributor cap, rotor, coil, condenser, water pump, coolant hoses, and engine mounts.
Power is routed to the front wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle that was refurbished by the seller. Additional photos of the underbody are provided in the gallery below.
The front subframe was removed from the car, and the seller had the bushings replaced and various components powdercoated prior to reinstallation. Before and after photos can be viewed in the gallery.
