The cabin has been lined with sound-deadening material and houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with matching door panels and color-coordinated carpets. GTO-branded mats protect the floors, and features include air conditioning, power steering, a Hurst shifter, a center console, a Stewart Warner analog clock, and a digital stereo with an auxiliary input wired to a trunk-mounted Kicker amplifier and speakers in both doors.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Dakota Digital instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge. A trio of Stewart Warner instruments is mounted below the dash and includes displays for oil pressure, battery charge, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates approximately 3k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The LS3 V8 crate engine was installed in 2019 by FreeStyle Automotive of Nebraska, and additional equipment includes an Aeromotive fuel system, an aluminum radiator, a custom short-ram intake, and a dual exhaust system with electric cut-outs. The seller notes a periodic hesitation under heavy acceleration in fourth gear.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential with 3.73:1 gearing. The transmission was also installed in 2019. The frame was modified to accept the engine’s oil pan, and the transmission tunnel was modified to accommodate the gearbox. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
