Delivered from the factory in Silver Metallic (96240), the car received bodywork before the installation of steel rear fender flares and a repaint in its current red with silver side stripes in the 2013. Features include polished rear bumperettes, front and rear tow hooks, side-view mirrors, a cowl-mounted electrical cut-off switch, a Rennsport windshield graphic, external decklid latches, internal and external hood latches, and a plexiglass rear window, side windows, and door windows. The car participated at the 2015 and 2018 Rennsport Reunion events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and stickers are present on the windshield. Rock chips incurred during track use have been touched-up.
The 15″ Fuchs wheels measure 6″ wide up front and 7″ out back and are mounted with Hoosier Street T.D. S tires. Suspension modifications include adjustable spring plates and aftermarket torsion bars, while braking is handled by four-wheel discs sourced from a 911SC. A Fuel Safe fuel cell is mounted in the front trunk along with a strut bar.
The cabin features black painted floors, a MOMO driver’s seat, and a 911R-replica low-back passenger seat. Schroth five-point harnesses are fitted along with a full roll cage, additional dash-mounted switchgear, and a FireSense fire-suppression system.
The three-spoke Alcantara-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation sourced from a later-model 911 including a tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer is stopped at 98k miles. Approximately 2k miles were added during current ownership, and total mileage is unknown. The seller states that an 8k-rpm MSD rev-limiter chip is installed and that the oil level gauge is not connected.
The 2.0-liter flat-six was rebuilt by Jerry Woods Enterprises in 2013 and features twin-plug cylinder heads, dual Weber carburetors, a GE80 camshaft, and a 12-wire Marelli distributor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt five-speed manual transaxle with custom gearing. The exhaust system features a MagnaFlow muffler that was installed in 2012.
