Equipment includes a fabric-covered removable targa panel, a zippered soft rear window, a brushed stainless steel roll bar, 911S-specific bumpers and side trim, Hella halogen fog lamps, and a fender-mounted antenna.
Bright-finished 15×4.5” Fuchs alloy wheels feature black painted webbing and were mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires during the refurbishment. The suspension system was overhauled during the project and features Bilstein shock absorbers, a rear anti-roll bar, and a thicker front anti-roll bar than standard 911 models. The four-wheel ventilated disc brakes were also refreshed.
The cabin was refreshed during the refurbishment with black leather and pepita cloth inserts over the front seats and black upholstery over the rear seats, doors, and dashboard. Additional features include charcoal carpeting over the floors and center tunnel, basketweave trim on the dash fascia, adjustable front headrests, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames refurbished green-lettered VDO instrumentation with aluminum bezels, including a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The five-digit odometer was reset to zero during the refurbishment and shows approximately 600 kilometers (~400 miles).
The front trunk houses a disconnected factory-optioned Webasto gasoline-fueled heater inside the smuggler’s box, as well as a 14” Fuchs spare wheel wearing a Lassa Impetus tire.
The 2.0-liter flat-six features a re-stamped replacement case and was overhauled during the refurbishment, at which time it was updated with hydraulic chain tensioners. A post-rebuild service and tune-up in November 2020 at 500 kilometers included adjustment of the triple-choke Weber carburetors and the ignition timing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels by a rebuilt Type 901/02 five-speed manual transaxle. Additional images of the underside are provided in the photo gallery below.
The Kardex lists the original color combination of Bahama Yellow over black leather, as well as the original component numbers and options including a Webasto heater, an antenna, and fog lamps.
