The car was competed on July 10, 1967 and was finished in Irish Green (6606) from the factory. The restoration included disassembly and a repaint with Glasurit material by Altissimo Custom Paint. Exterior details include 911S bumper trims, dual snail horns, yellow Hella driving lights, and a polished square lip exhaust tip.

The car was competed on July 10, 1967 and was finished in Irish Green (6606) from the factory. The restoration included disassembly and a repaint with Glasurit material by Altissimo Custom Paint. Exterior details include 911S bumper trims, dual snail horns, yellow Hella driving lights, and a polished square lip exhaust tip.
The Targa roof panel and folding rear window assembly were also refurbished. Restored 15” X 4.5” Fuchs wheels with black accents feature heart shaped cutouts nearest their valve stems and wear Pirelli Cinturato tires. The braking system, suspension and steering rack were overhauled by Porsche of Bend Oregon.
The black leatherette interior was retrimmed by Autos International of Escondido, California, and wears vinyl upholstery with textured inserts, charcoal carpeting, and replacement door cards as well as new hardware and knobs. A dash-mounted loudspeaker, antenna, and radio frequency suppression material were optioned when new, though the car is not currently equipped with a radio.
A four-spoke steering wheel with horn paddles frames a quintet of green-letter VDO gauges including a clock, a center tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, and a 150-mph speedometer containing a five-digit odometer that shows 55k miles.
The front trunk is protected with carpet liners and houses a refurbished fuel tank, a spare Fuchs wheel, and a rebuilt Webasto gasoline-fueled heater located in the smuggler’s box. The trunk floor sheet metal is finished in a black textured coating also found on the underside of the vehicle.
The numbers matching Type 901/02 flat six was rebuilt by Rothsport , Inc. of Sherwood Oregon, with a displacement increase to 2.2 liters. Additional details include overhauled triple-choke Weber 40 IDS carburetors as well as a fiberglass fan shroud. A 2018 dyno test indicated peak output of 184 horsepower and 158 lb-ft of torque measured at the crank. Tuning and adjustments following initial driving were performed by Patrick Motorsports as detailed in the November 2020 invoice.
A rebuilt numbers-matching Type 901/02 five-speed manual transaxle transmits power to the rear wheels. Additional photos of the coated stainless steel exhaust components and other underbody details can be viewed in the gallery below.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists original colors and equipment as well as drivetrain and chassis numbers.
