Factory finished in Sea Blue (360) with a Cumulus White upper section (680), the bus received replacement rocker panels and underwent a bare-metal repaint in 2014. The weatherstripping and factory-optional safari windows have been replaced, while work performed by Remarc Restorations of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania in 2019 included dent repair in the roof, touching-up various paint chips and scratches, and buffing the paintwork. Additional equipment includes white-painted bumpers with overriders, a white sliding soft roof with a rebuilt mechanism, and pop-out front windows. A factory-optional awning with replacement canvas is included in the sale and can be seen installed in the gallery below.
White-painted 14” steel wheels feature replacement chrome VW-branded hubcaps and are mounted with Kumho Solus tires. The brakes have been fitted with a replacement master cylinder, shoes, wheel cylinders, drums, and stainless-steel lines. The front wheel bearings were repacked in June 2021, and additional work that month included rebuilding the steering box and replacing the front tie rods and brake drum grease seals.
The seats were fitted with replacement padding and reupholstered in blue and white vinyl with matching door panels and black rubber-lined floors. Equipment includes replacement lap belts, a VDO analog clock, and a push-button radio. The Eberspächer gas heater in the engine bay is not hooked up.
A white two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a matching metal dashboard that houses a replacement 80-mph VDO speedometer and fuel level gauge, both of which were sourced from Orange Empire Speedometer of Corona, California. The five-digit odometer shows 1k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The rear of the cabin is accessed via sliding doors on either side and features replacement carpets along with two rows of bench seating with a middle row that folds forward to allow access to third row passengers.
The 1,500cc air-cooled flat-four sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Work in June 2021 included fluid changes, rebuilds of the fuel pump and carburetor, and replacement of the rear shift bushings, clutch cable, and clutch cable tube.

The Stiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen Zertifikat lists a production date of July 10, 1967 along with the factory colors and options.
