Aluminum 15″ wheels wear Shelby center caps and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin Energy MXV4 tires. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes. The power-steering system was serviced and the brake master cylinder, shocks, springs, and rear brake shoes were replaced during current ownership.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl, and the matching carpets are protected by Shelby-branded floor mats. Equipment includes air conditioning, a roll bar, three-point front seatbelts, a tilt steering column, woodgrain trim, and a Custom Autosound retro-style stereo with an auxiliary input. Service during current ownership included recovering the front seats, installing LED dashboard lighting, repairing wiring, and replacing the ignition switch and turn signal switch.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Additional gauges are mounted ahead of the shifter. The speedometer is nonfunctional and the odometer is stopped at 6k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 428ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor with a Cobra air cleaner assembly as well as matching finned valve covers. Work during current ownership included rebuilding the carburetor and replacing the water pump, thermostat, radiator, starter solenoid, oil pressure sensor switch, and exhaust system, as well as the fuel tank, fuel pump, and fuel sending unit.
The factory automatic transmission was replaced with a four-speed manual unit during previous ownership. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.
The Elite Marti report details the original colors and equipment and lists a February 23, 1968 build date. A copy of the Shelby order sheet is included in the sale.
