The truck has been equipped with Tom’s Offroad locking front hubs, the suspension was refreshed, and the steering-stabilizer shock, the upper and lower ball joints, and the front bump stops were replaced under current ownership. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin has been refreshed with the installation of front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl in addition diamond-plate door and rear quarter panels, a Vintage Air climate-control system, a black dash pad, and a Hurst shifter. Additional equipment includes power steering, a body-color dashboard, front vent windows, lap belts, and a roll bar. The seller notes that the dashboard was modified to accommodate the Vintage Air system.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a combination gauge with a 100-mph speedometer and readouts for amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 1,800 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; true chassis mileage is unknown.
The 302ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt by JBA Speed Shop in San Diego, California during the refurbishment and is equipped with an Edelbrock air cleaner, a Holley carburetor, and PerTronix electric ignition. The oil was changed in January 2023. A list documenting the replaced parts is presented in the photo gallery below.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a replacement Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a rebuilt dual-range transfer case. The fuel system was refreshed under current ownership, and an auxiliary fuel tank also was installed.
