Originally ordered in Burgundy (6808), the car was stripped and refinished in following corrosion repair around the front suspension pan and battery boxes, as well as fitment of steel ST-style rear flares, fiberglass front fenders, a fiberglass front lid with a central fuel-filler opening, and fiberglass front and rear bumper covers with rubber inlays. The seller states that the body was seam-sealed and the underside refinished in textured undercoating. Other refurbishment work included installing replacement rubber seals and weatherstripping, front and rear aluminum bumper-molding trim, and a Boxster-sourced windshield-wiper motor. The seller notes chipped paint and a flaw on the driver-side fender that is depicted in the photo gallery below.
Staggered-width 15″ Group 4 wheels are finished in gold and are mounted with 225/45 and 275/50 Nitto NT555 Exteme tires showing 2014 date codes. Braking is handled by ventilated discs with Boxster S–sourced calipers at all four corners, plus a 911SC-based booster and master cylinder. The cabin features widened Beard front bucket seats that are trimmed in black with a matching upholstered fiberglass dash pad and door panels. Woodgrain trim accents the dash, and additional features include a leather-wrapped and padded six-point chromoly roll cage, Repa-style four-point harnesses, gray carpeting, a custom raised console with a Seine Systems short-throw shifter, a 917-style wood shift knob, air conditioning, a Webasto gas heater, and a rear-seat-delete storage system.
An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation with LED backlighting that includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer with GPS input, a Heuer-branded analog clock face, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 48k miles, and true mileage is unknown; the seller estimates that 8k miles have been added since completion of the build. The trip-meter and chronograph stopwatches are non-operational.
The fuel-injected 3.6L flat-six is said to have been sourced from a 1995 Porsche 911 and features twin-plug ignition with a single distributor, individual throttle bodies, programmable MegaSquirt engine management, twin CDI ignition, stainless-steel tubular headers, a Dansk muffler, a gear-reduction starter, and a 26-gallon fuel tank that is complemented by a surge tank and a Bosch 044 fuel pump. Additional features include a 993-based oil tank, twin oil filters, and an oil cooler with a fan. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The gearbox is said to have been rebuilt with replacement sliders and synchronizers.
