Originally finished in Polaris Metallic (60), the Karmann-built body was disassembled, received bodywork, and was stitch-welded by Coupeking before it was painted in its current silver. Features include chrome bumpers, a single exhaust outlet, a heated rear window, dual side mirrors, fender vents, and quad headlights. The 3.0 CS badging was added by the seller with body shop tape and is said to be removable.

The 16″ Coupeking Alpina-style wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Toyo Proxes R1R tires. Front and rear sway bars were installed during the refurbishment along with Bilstein shocks and sport springs at all four corners. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features Scheel sport seats trimmed in black vinyl with corduroy inserts along with matching rear seats and salt-and-pepper carpets. Features include wood trim on the dashboard and doors, air conditioning, power windows, an Alpine Bluetooth stereo, and Coco Mats.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 150-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. The fuel-level gauge was repaired by Coupeking in January 2021. Just under 93k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.5-liter M30B35 inline-six was reportedly sourced from a 1989 635i and features a MegaSquirt II engine management system. A July 2020 service included the installation of a new distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs wires, while an engine tune was performed in January 2021 and new spark plugs were installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission that is said to have been sourced from a 1981 E12 5-Series and a 3.64 limited-slip differential. A stainless steel exhaust system and headers were installed during the refurbishment.
