The driver’s door is a replacement according to an included invoice. Details include a brushed stainless steel Targa bar as well as chrome US-market “sugar scoop” headlight surrounds.
Polished 14″ Fuchs-style wheels with black insets were mounted with Vredestein tires in 2020 according to the seller. The windshield gasket and chrome trim were replaced in March 2021 along with the Targa bar seals and vinyl. Work under current ownership was reportedly carried out at The Third Garage in New Milford, Connecticut, as well as BTO Autoworks and Aventura Motors in New York State.
The cockpit is upholstered in black leatherette with matching carpets. Interior refreshment carried out in March 2021 included repairing the heater control unit and powder-coating the seat rails as well as replacement of the door panels and hardware, armrests, door pockets, window cranks, and A-pillar seals.
The steel gauge surround was also repainted and the dashboard cover replaced. Instrumentation includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, a clock, and secondary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just under 100k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the current owner.
The 2.2-liter flat-six and 901 five-speed manual transaxle were rebuilt by Rennwerke LTD in Elmsford, New York, in 2014 according to an invoice pictured in the previous listing. The engine is stamped 6107436, which matches the number listed on the included maintenance record.
Replacement floor pans, supports, and battery boxes were installed in 2013. The car is sold with transferable New York registration, as the state does not issue titles for vehicles of its age.
