Finished from the factory in Silver Metallic, the car underwent rust repair around the right door prior to fitment of a replacement front fender and a repaint in 1982. A sunroof was installed by American Sunroof Company, and further exterior details include fog lights, a replacement windshield, a left mirror, a retractable antenna, and rear bumperettes. Chips in the paint are visible on the front end, and the bright window trim shows wear.

Silver 15” cookie-cutter alloy wheels are mounted with Yokohama ES 100 tires measuring 205/60 up front and 215/60 out back, while a matching wheel with an older tire is stored in the front trunk compartment. The front suspension was overhauled in 2004, and Bilstein dampers, a front strut tower brace, and turbo-style tie rod ends were installed at that time. Stopping power is provided by Porsche-branded calipers over four-wheel ventilated discs reportedly sourced from a Porsche Boxster. The rear tires rub the fenders.
The 2+2 cabin features front sport seats trimmed in black leather and accompanied by color-coordinated rear seats, door panels and carpets. Additional appointments include a Wevo shifter, a cabin heater, three-speed windshield wipers, pop-out rear quarter windows, and an Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo. The black dashboard was refreshed in 2004.
The leatherette-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The air-cooled flat-six was modified to displace 2.9-liters in October 2004 by The Stable of San Francisco, California. Equipment reportedly includes 9.5:1 pistons, 46mm PMO carburetors, 930-sourced exhaust valves, SSI heat exchangers, and a 2.7L RS-sourced ignition distributor with Pertronix points. The factory air conditioning system has been removed, and an Optima Redtop battery has been installed. A dynamometer test reportedly performed in 2004 registered 274 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt in 2004. A 915-sourced sport clutch was also installed at that time. A Dansk sport muffler has been fitted, and additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
The window sticker shows delivery to Commonwealth Porsche and Audi via VW N/E Distribution, and lists optional equipment as well as a total price of $9,439.50.
