The body was reportedly stripped and refinished in Pontiac Performance Red in June 2008, at which time the side marker lights were removed, and the body gaskets and weather seals are said to have been replaced. Features include a power-operated tan convertible top with a matching boot, HID headlights, fender vents, a louvered hood, and brightwork that consists of rocker-panel moldings, dual exhaust outlets, and wraparound bumpers from which the overriders were removed under previous ownership. Front bumper dings are noted, along with paint cracks on the fenders near the front corners of the hood. A video showing the convertible top operation is provided in the gallery below.
Interceptor-style 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires showing 2014 date codes and were mounted in July 2019. Braking is provided by four-wheel Girling ventilated disc brakes with stainless-steel lines, and the front pads were replaced in January 2020. Steering rack seepage is noted.
The cabin features front bucket seats upholstered in tan leather that extends to the door panels and is complemented by lighter tan carpeting, black dash pads, and wood veneer on the dashboard and center console. Work under previous ownership included refreshing the leather upholstery and reconfiguring the rear seats to accommodate three, including installing a third Interceptor seat belt. Additional amenities include power windows, aftermarket cruise control, and a Custom AutoSound USA-4 AM/FM/CD stereo with a USB input and Bluetooth connectivity. Cracks are visible in the wood veneers, and the air conditioning is inoperative. Removed trim components accompany the car.
The three-spoke Italvolanti Formel steering wheel features a wood rim and fronts a 160-mph Jaeger speedometer and a matching tachometer with a 5,100-rpm redline. Jaeger gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are housed in the center stack along with a Quartz clock. The five-digit odometer shows 4k miles and is said to have rolled over once.
The 440ci Chrysler-sourced V8 breathes through a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor and a dual exhaust system. Additional equipment includes replacement dual electric fans and cast-aluminum Jensen valve covers. The oil was changed in July 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite A-727 three-speed automatic transmission equipped with a deep pan and a Dana Powr-Lok limited-slip differential with a 3.07:1 final gear ratio. Transmission seepage is noted.
