Delivered from the factory in Firethorn (36), the car was reportedly refinished approximately 20 years ago due to sun fading. Features include a power-operated red convertible top, quad headlights, fender-mounted light monitors, cornering lights, driver- and passenger-side mirrors and door-edge guards, and chrome bumpers. The seller states that a replacement convertible top was installed in 2022 together with replacement components including a well liner, a rain gutter, frame-rail pads, cables, and weatherstripping. A body-color rigid parade boot and a white soft convertible-top boot cover will accompany the vehicle. Pitting is visible on the chrome door handles and mirrors.
Steel 15″ wheels wear black and chrome Cadillac-branded covers and are mounted with 235/75 Auburn Premium Radial whitewall tires that were reportedly installed under current ownership. The car is equipped with power steering, braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs, and a covered spare and jack are located in the trunk. The brakes were reportedly replaced under previous ownership, and work under current ownership included replacing the power-steering pump reservoir, CV axles, and front and rear shocks as well as the Hydroboost brake accumulator, seals, and lines.
The cabin features Dual Comfort front seats trimmed in White Leather with Firethorn carpeting (072). Fold-down armrests further complement the front seats, and woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and rear side panels. Amenities include tilt and telescopic steering, automatic-dimming headlights, power-adjustable front seats, lap belts, a dashboard clock, power windows, power locks, and an AM/FM radio with an eight-track player. The seller reports that the air-conditioning system was serviced under previous ownership and that replacement front speakers were installed under current ownership together with replacement leather on the front and rear upper door panels. The seller notes that the cruise control is inoperable and also that the fuel gauge works intermittently; a replacement fuel-level sending unit is included in the sale.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 500ci V8 was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The fuel pump and the radiator were reportedly replaced under previous ownership, and services under current ownership have included an oil change and replacement of the heater core, spark plugs and plug wires, and power-steering lines.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and the seller had the transmission’s shift-linkage bushings replaced. Corrosion in visible on some underbody components. Additional underbody photos are presented in the gallery below.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Bland-Curran Cadillac along with standard equipment, options, and a total amount of $12,604. Manufacturer’s literature, service records, a replacement fuel-level sending unit, and a March 2022 letter from the original owner are also included in the sale and pictured below.
