Replacement 16″ wheels are mounted with 225/50 BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires. A spare wheel with an older Michelin tire is stored under the front hood, and stopping power is provided by ventilated disc brakes. The seller notes that the suspension bushings and engine mounts show dry rot.
The 2+2 cabin is upholstered in tan Connolly leather with contrasting black leather on the upper dashboard and garnish rails. Equipment includes a Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit, air conditioning, and power windows. The selling dealer reports that the Connolly leather was recently refurbished and the air conditioning system has been converted to utilized R134a refrigerant. The driver-side window is noted to operate slowly, and the headliner is sagging.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a suite of Veglia instrumentation featuring a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,800-rpm redline, and gauges showing coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The coolant gauge does not reset properly. The six-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 2.9-liter V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 214 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque when new. Modifications are said to include installation of an upgraded fuse box and removal of the catalytic converters. A major service and timing-belt replacement were performed in November 2018 and included replacing the filters, gaskets, seals, and ignition wires. An oil change was last performed in summer 2021. A split is noted in the airbox boot, and a strut for the rear compartment requires replacement.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a gated five-speed manual transaxle. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
Four 180TR390 Cromodora wheels mounted with 240/55VR390 Michelin TRX tires are shown above and included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a tool roll.
