The truck was delivered new in Dark Baltic Blue (PQ9) and was repainted in its current shade of blue under current ownership, at which time custom “Grand Frankeneer” emblems were installed and replacement woodgrain vinyl was applied to the fenders, doors, quarter panels, and tailgate. The truck was delivered new in Dark Baltic Blue (PQ9) and was repainted in its current shade of blue under current ownership, at which time custom “Grand Frankeneer” emblems were installed and replacement woodgrain vinyl was applied to the fenders, doors, quarter panels, and tailgate. The windshield was reportedly replaced as part of the refurbishment process, and fog lights and halogen headlamps were installed. Additional features include chrome-finished bumpers and trim, a power-retractable tailgate window, and a bright-finished roof rack. The Carfax report indicates an accident involving “severe damage” to the front of the truck in 1996. Dents are noted in the edge of the roof above the driver’s door, and the seller states that there are scratches in the paint on the roof.
The 15″ concave alloy wheels wear Jeep center caps and are mounted with 31×10.50″ General Grabber A/T tires that were mounted under current ownership. A 3″ Rough Country lift kit was installed during the refurbishment, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums that were overhauled in 2022.
The interior features individual front seats and a rear bench seat with tan leather upholstery, corduroy inserts, and high-pile backing. Amenities include a folding center armrest, a tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, and power windows. Refurbishment work under current ownership is said to have included the removal of the upper console above the rearview mirror, the replacement of the dash pad, headliner, dome light, and carpeting, a rebuild of the tailgate window motor, and the installation of a Pioneer stereo with six speakers, a subwoofer, and an American Bass amplifier.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and frames a 100-mph speedometer, gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage, and a six-digit odometer that shows 168k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. The Carfax report indicates a mileage inconsistency in a September 2020 entry. True mileage is unknown.
The Chevrolet Performance LS3 V8 was installed under current ownership along with a Holley Terminator X electronic fuel management system and intake manifold. A dynamometer test results sheet is included in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a GM 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission connected to the dual-range Selec-Trac transfer case via a Novak Conversions adapter kit. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
