Silver-finished 16″ Design 90 wheels are wrapped in 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Michelin Pilot Exalto tires installed in May 2023. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS, and the front sway bar drop links were replaced in May 2023.
The power-adjustable front bucket seats are upholstered in Marine Blue supple leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dash, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a Porsche CD-2 stereo, dual front airbags, power windows, cruise control, and air conditioning. The cruise control system was repaired in May 2023.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Work completed in September 2015 included rebuilding and resealing the engine as well as resurfacing the cylinder heads and replacing the timing guide rails. The engine mounts were replaced in August 2022, and May 2023 compression test results are provided in a record in the photo gallery below.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The clutch components, flywheel, clutch slave cylinder, and hydraulic differential actuator were replaced in September 2015.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows a production completion date of September 25, 1989, and lists factory colors and options. Manufacturer’s literature, a stamped service booklet, tools, and service records are also included in the sale.
