The 5.9L V8 was factory rated at 144 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range Selec-Trac transfer case. Work performed under prior ownership included resurfacing the cylinder heads, refurbishing the transmission and transfer case, repairing the wiring harness, and replacing the torque convertor.
