Description
The 993 C4S features wider rear bodywork in comparison with the standard Carrera as well as a front air dam derived from the contemporary Turbo. White-finished 18″ Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that are said to have been installed in July 2022. The car features an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and the 993 was the first 911 to feature multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by red-finished Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the brake fluid was flushed in July 2022.
The cabin was optioned with full power-adjustable heated front seats, and the seating surfaces are trimmed in black partial leather upholstery. Amenities include a Becker-Porsche CDR-210 stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, a Quarz analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Work in July 2022 included an oil change and replacing the battery, and a California smog test was performed in June 2023.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
