The Series 1 was designed from scratch by Shelby American and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. An aluminum chassis is paired with carbon-fiber and fiberglass laminate bodywork, which is finished in silver on this example. Multi-piece 18″ wheels wear Shelby center caps and are mounted with 265/40 front and 315/40 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. The car features a racing-derived pushrod suspension, and braking is handled via Shelby-branded gray four-piston calipers paired with cross-drilled and slotted rotors at each corner.
The interior features bolstered seats with black leather upholstery, gray inserts, and “Carroll Shelby” backrest stitching. Carbon fiber trims the center stack and dashboard, and amenities include air conditioning, a Monsoon cassette/CD stereo, power windows, and power locks.
A four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 397 miles, approximately 50 of which are said to have been added under current ownership.

Less than one-third of the 249 examples of the Series 1 were fitted with a factory-supercharged 4.0-liter Aurora L47 V8, a version of which was used for Oldsmobile’s racing efforts in IMSA and IndyCar competition. The supercharged Shelby was rated to produce 450 horsepower, which is delivered to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted, Corvette-sourced six-speed manual transaxle. An oil change and inspection were performed in fall 2020.
An invoice from March 2003 indicates that this car was fitted with a supercharger and clutch upgrade, a four-piston brake upgrade, and a brake-proportioning valve at that time. Other paperwork in the gallery shows that the car was initially transferred to the original owner in January 2001.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, with two entries in Indiana in 2019.
