Silver 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 265/40 Bridgestone g-Force T/A KOW tires. A space-saver spare is found in the trunk. Unlike standard Mustangs, the Cobra R was equipped with an independent rear suspension as well as Bilstein dampers, stiffer Eibach springs, and larger sway bars. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with four-piston Brembo front calipers. A pair of uninstalled brake cooling ducts is included in the sale.
The cabin features manually adjustable Recaro sport seats trimmed in black cloth upholstery with a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped shift knob and a heater as well as power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The Cobra R was not equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a stereo, a rear seat, or sound-deadening materials.
A leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 1,900 miles, around 300 of which have been added by the seller.
The 5.4-liter DOHC V8 features forged aluminum pistons, performance camshafts, and an aluminum radiator. Factory-rated output was 385 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. An aluminum flywheel was fitted as standard along with a performance exhaust system featuring a Bassani X-pipe and Borla mufflers.
