Staggered-width 18″ Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The GT2 weighed approximately 220 pounds less than the contemporary Turbo and was equipped with adjustable suspension components as well as stiffer springs and stabilizer bars. Porsche Stability Management was not available, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes were standard.
The sport seats feature yellow seatbelts, Porsche-crest headrests, power-adjustable backs, and mechanical height adjustment, and they are upholstered in black leather that extends to the dashboard and door panels. Carbon-fiber trim accents are present, and amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, an onboard computer, and a Porsche Classic infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames replacement instrumentation including a central 8k-rpm tachometer as well as a 200-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 42k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The twin-turbocharged Mezger 3.6-liter flat-six was factory rated at 456 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 457 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. A GMG Racing exhaust system has been installed. An invoice related to an August 2021 engine-out service is shown in the gallery below. Work at that time included pinning the coolant lines and replacing the rear main seal, spark plugs, engine belts, coolant hoses, and front radiators. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a double-inertia flywheel and a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced in August 2021.
