Description
The 996 Turbo featured revised styling compared to the contemporary 911 Carrera, with changes including the front air inlets, side intake scoops, a vented rear bumper, and wider bodywork. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, a sunroof, and a rear spoiler. Aftermarket 19″ Fikse wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Braking is from red-finished four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and the suspension has been modified with Bilstein PSS9 coilovers and H&R sway bars.
The cabin features Graphite Grey leather upholstery that extends from the seats to the door panels and instrument binnacle. Matching carpets are protected by embroidered floor mats, and the car was optioned with a silver-painted center console. Other equipment includes heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, central locking, power windows, and a Porsche CDR-220 stereo with a Bose audio system.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 21k miles, approximately 10 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six was optioned with the X50 Engine Performance Package, which added larger turbochargers, 996 GT2-spec intercoolers, and a reprogrammed ECU. Output was originally rated at 444 horsepower. An oil change was performed in preparation for sale, and a photograph of a DME report is visible in the gallery below.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle.
