Apex ARC-8 18″ wheels with BMW center caps wear 255/35 Falken Azenis RT660 tires. The car has been fitted with Motion Control Suspension single-adjustable dampers with Hyperco coilover springs as well as a rear subframe reinforcement kit and E46 M3-specification control arms and tie rods. The seller states that Vorschlag camber plates and upgraded sway bars have also been installed along with a StopTech 355mm big brake kit. The brake pads, rotors, and fluid were reportedly changed in 2022.
The cabin features Recaro front sport seats upholstered in black leatherette as well as a color-matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, a removable harness bar, a folding rear bench seat, wiring for an AiM Sportline Solo lap timer, and a Sony touchscreen stereo with Apple CarPlay, a JL Audio 10″ subwoofer, and replacement speakers. The headliner has been replaced, the trim on the dashboard and doors has been wrapped with carbon-fiber-look vinyl, and an E46 M3-specification trunk floor pan has been installed beneath the cargo area. Scratches are visible on the door panels and dashboard.
The replacement multifunction M sport steering wheel has been re-wrapped in leather and frames a replacement M3-specification instrument cluster that includes a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and instant fuel economy. The digital odometer indicates 134k miles, approximately 30k of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was installed by RRT Automotive of Sterling, Virginia in 2015, at which time the connecting rod bolts and connecting rod bearings were replaced. The following components were also added:
The seller states that the VANOS system was rebuilt in 2019 when the fuel pump, fuel filter, oxygen sensor, and spark plugs were replaced. The valve cover gasket and engine oil were changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission that was installed in place of the factory automatic along with a limited-slip differential with 3.91:1 gearing sourced from Diffsonline. The exhaust system is said to feature European-style headers feeding a resonated Supersprint twin-pipe exhaust system with 100-cell high-flow catalytic converters.
