The final iteration of the Esprit featured a redesigned tail panel with round taillights, and this example left the factory finished in Ardent Red (B94). Equipment includes a body-color removable roof panel as well as a front lip spoiler, a rear wing, pop-up headlights, and central dual-exhaust outlets. The final iteration of the Esprit featured a redesigned tail panel with round taillights, and this example left the factory finished in Ardent Red (B94). Staggered-width 17″ and 18″ OZ Racing alloy wheels wear Lotus-branded center caps and are wrapped with 245/40 front and 285/35 rear Toyo Proxes Sport tires that were mounted in September 2021. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors at all four corners and Lotus-branded AP Racing front calipers. The brake fluid was changed in July 2021.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Magnolia leather with red piping and checkerboard stitching. Black leather covers the dashboard, center console, and door panels and is complemented by red inserts around the shifter and on the door panels. Amenities include an Alpine stereo, air conditioning, Esprit-branded stainless-steel sill plates, Lotus-branded floormats, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. A SmarTire tire pressure monitor display is installed within the center stack.
The four-spoke steering wheel is leather-wrapped and frames VDO instrumentation including an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 220-mph speedometer, and supplementary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 18k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.5-liter V8 is twin-turbocharged and was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Service in July 2021 included changing the engine oil and coolant as well as replacing the battery, fuel filter, and spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional underside photos can be seen in the gallery.
A window sticker, a Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, and a December 2015 letter from the Lotus Archives are displayed within a red frame and included in the sale.
