The RS was developed as a track-oriented variant of the 997.1 GT3 and is outwardly distinguished by its wider bodywork, carbon-fiber rear wing, and model-specific badging. This example is finished in black with orange side stripes, mirror caps, wing endplates, and badging. Clear protective film has been applied to the front bumper, hood, and fenders. Orange-finished 19″ wheels wear RS-branded center caps and are mounted with staggered-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with 2020 date codes. Porsche Active Suspension Management was standard equipment, and the disc brakes feature vented and cross-drilled rotors with red-finished calipers.
The cabin features hard-back sport seats trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inlays as well as matching upholstery on the dashboard, doors, and center console. Equipment includes the Chrono Package Plus with a dash-mounted timing clock, as well as aluminum pedals, Porsche-script mats, and an infotainment screen with Porsche Communication Management.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, water temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows just over 9,800 miles.
The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter M97/76 flat-six features titanium connecting rods, VarioCam variable valve timing, a 12.0:1 compression ratio, and dry-sump lubrication. Power output was factory-rated at 415 horsepower and 299 lb-ft of torque. An oil and filter change was reportedly carried out by the selling dealer in March 2021.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle with a standard asymmetric limited-slip differential. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
