The 458 was designed by Ferrari’s Donato Coco in collaboration with Pininfarina, and the Speciale trim added an active horizontal front-end flap to divert air under the car, spring-loaded doors to direct air from the radiators at high speeds, aero fins on the side skirts, a motor-actuated drag-reduction system at the rear end, and a revised rear diffuser with dual exhaust outlets.

This example is finished in Corsa Red with optional North American Racing Team (NART) racing stripes and features adaptive xenon headlights, fog lights, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, a parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, tinted glass, and LED taillights with smoked lenses. Clear paint-protection film has been applied to the bodywork, and the rear diffuser was repaired and repainted earlier this year. The seller notes some rock chips on the body along with scrapes inside one of the rear wheel wells
The 20″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 245/35 up front and 305/30 out back. The car is equipped with magnetorheological dampers, and braking is handled by red-finished Ferrari/Brembo calipers over cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners. The Speciale received a retuned Side Slip Angle Control system compared with the 458 Italia as well as F1-Trac traction control. A suspension lifter was optioned from the factory, and Novitec springs were installed under prior ownership.
Weight-saving measures on Speciale models included carbon-fiber door panels and dashboard trim as well as carbon-fiber seat frames. This example features seats upholstered in black and red Alcantara with embroidered prancing horses on the headrests as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, and center console. Features include the Track Inner Cams kit, navigation, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, and drilled aluminum pedals.
The multifunction steering wheel fronts column-mounted carbon-fiber shift paddles and features LED shift indicator lights as well as a red engine-start button and an adjustable manettino that toggles among several traction control and vehicle settings. Instrumentation consists of a central tachometer with a 9k-rpm redline flanked by two configurable displays. The digital odometer indicates 10k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 4.5-liter V8 was reworked for the Speciale with revised pistons, a 14:1 compression ratio, a revised intake system and camshafts, and a carbon-fiber intake assembly. Factory-rated output was 605 horsepower and 398 lb-ft. The car is outfitted with a factory-optioned titanium sport exhaust system. An oil change was conducted in December 2022.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Getrag seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronic rear differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Ferrari of Newport Beach in California along with factory equipment, colors, and a total price of $339,835. The sale also includes owner’s manuals, a car cover, a battery tender, and a tool kit. The seller states that the car remains under the Ferrari New Power Warranty Program until December 2023.
