Shelby-branded 17″ front and 18″ rear American Racing wheels feature simulated knockoffs and are mounted with 245/40 and 275/35 Toyo Proxes RR tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the car is equipped with adjustable coilovers and a three-link rear suspension.
The cockpit is equipped with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery, along with color-coordinated carpets. Appointments include a black-finished roll bar, a battery shut-off switch, and RJS Racing and Simpson harnesses.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts AutoMeter instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 4k miles, less than 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 302ci V8 is equipped with twin Weber carburetors, an Offenhauser aluminum intake manifold, ceramic-coated tubular headers, a dual exhaust system, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The battery was replaced in 2022, and work in preparation for the sale consisted of overhauling the carburetors and replacing the spark plugs, intake manifold gasket, and the rear main seal.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8″ axle. The transmission input housing was replaced and the input bearing re-shimmed in June 2023.
